The first, oh well… the second, image I want expose here is an homage to Fellini’s “La Strada” film.

Everyone has seen (here in Italy) this film at least one time, or maybe I hope so, and everyone can give to it a single and unanimous vote: masterpiece!

The image freely symbolize the concentric idea of life/beeing and the fate’s escaping lines that keep everyone out of living balance; coming back is just like Zampano’s feelings: you’ve lost your chance forever and you can only grab an handufl of sand.

The whole thing was also inpired by a couple of songs: Vinicio Capossela’s Zampanò and R.E.M.’s Electorlite.
The first one is very pertinent as it’s Vinicio’s homage to the film too.
The second one was in my ears maybe for the great acous piano and violin score (that sort of acoustic approach that makes R.E.M. at their best to me: like in “Drive” but in a different way; ok, I’m divagating) and the powerful sights “Stand on a cliff and look down there / Don’t be scared, you are alive / You are alive” and the final “Your eyes are burning holes through me / I’m not scared / I’m outta here / I’m not scared / I’m outta here” (who knows, I don’t).Title: Zampanò

First of all I want talk about “Aurora Attractor“.

This is a Strange Attractor plugin for NewTek’s Lightwave; it works using LW’s internal Particle System or Point-Polygons (Layout and Modeller versions included) and let you create and animate Strange Attractors directly inside the main application.

Great work Aurora… you know!
