Those who travel very slowly may yet make far greater progress, provided they keep always to the straight road, than those who, while they run, forsake it.
Rene Descartes, Discourse on the Method

SOCRATES: Eh! What can be feared when one is doing one’s duty? I know the rage of my enemies. I know all their slanders; but when one only tries to do good to men and when one does not offend heaven, one can fear nothing, neither during life, nor after death.
    Voltaire, Socrates, ACT II

Color Cycle 1.2 update and Mpeg preview

    22nd September 2006

Spot pointed me to lack of Color Cycle script License Agreement.

I was impliedly thinking to GPL, just like Apophysis. GPL License – http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html
You know… nowadays everything must have an explicit License Agreement.

I’ve updated the Script and the previous posts including the License information.

The Rendering Script has also a minor update (optimization), the version
number is still 1.2, so everyone who downloaded the Script yesterday (21 September) is invited to download it again.

I’ve got also some spare-time to render the full color preview again; I’ve uploaded an Mpeg full color version for better platform indipendent compatibility.
Download here: Color Cycle 1.2 preview (Mpeg)

I’ll render better quality GIFs as soon as possible.

    Peace and Freedom.

    Color Cycle 1.2 Apophysis script

    21st September 2006

I’ve finally had the time to update the Apophysis Color Cycle script.

My first version was a simple preview version of Mark Townsend and Rodrigo Loyola rendering one.

This new version has some new features; I called it 1.2 to reflect the small amount of work I done on it.

The Script is available in two different version: Preview and Rendering.
The first one is usefull to preview the Flame Color Cycle effect, then the second one is used to render the sequence you need.

    Download here:
Color Cycle preview 1.2 (Right click – Save As)
Color Cycle render 1.2 (Right click – Save As)

Released under GPL License – http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html

    Some examples:

    Standard Cycle
    Red component
    Green component
    Blue component
    Red & Green components
    Green & Blue components
Sequential Cycle (Red -> Green -> Blue)

    Preview version – new Fatures:

    1. Sequential = 1
It does a complete Cycle of Red, Green and then Blue components sequentially.
The complete sequence is 256×3=765 frames.
    2. Sequential = 0
      Cycle Red
You can stop the Red component Cycle
      Cycle Green
You can stop the Green component Cycle
      Cycle Red
You can stop the Blue component Cycle

    Rendering version – new Features:

    1. Advanced Rendering and Output Settings
    2. Step Rendering
Useful if you want render a limited number of frames (a frame every StepValue) to build an animated GIF file.
    3. Sequential = 1
It does a complete Cycle of Red, Green and then Blue components sequentially.
The complete sequence is 256×3=765 frames.
    4. Sequential = 0
      Cycle Red
You can stop the Red component Cycle
      Cycle Green
You can stop the Green component Cycle
      Cycle Red
You can stop the Blue component Cycle

Hope someone will find it useful.
Comments are welcome for support, bug reports, questions or appreciation (eh… thanks a lot). :)

    Peace and Freedom.
