    Perpetually Finite

    Perpetually Finite

    Words move, music moves
Only in time; but that which is only living
Can only die. Words, after speech, reach
Into the silence. Only by the form, the pattern,
    Can words or music reach
The stillness, as a Chinese jar still
    Moves perpetually in its stillness.
Not the stillness of the violin, while the note lasts,
Not that only, but the co-existence,
Or say that the end precedes the beginning,
And the end and the beginning were always there
Before the beginning and after the end.
    And all is always now.

T.S. Eliot – Buirnt Norton – Four Quartes

This time I’ll get it Right – New Order tribute

    30th May 2007
    Tags: , , , , , , , , ,

Just give me one more day (one more day) / Give me another night (just another night) / I need a second chance (second chance) / This time I’ll get it right (This time I’ll get it right)

This is an humble tribute to New Order (more on Wiki) for the great music, communicative force and constant sense of humor they’ve spread all around the world during all these years.
Just hoping they’ll not break up.
This time I'll get it Right - New Order tribute

    Krafty
    (Waiting For The Sirens’ Call)

Some people get up at the break of day
Gotta go to work before it gets too late
Sitting in a car and driving down the road
It ain’t the way it has to be
But that’s what you do to earn your daily wage
That’s the kind of world that we’re living in today
    Isn’t where you wanna be
And isn’t what you wanna do
Just give me one more day (one more day)
Give me another night (just another night)
I need a second chance (second chance)
This time I’ll get it right (This time I’ll get it right)

I’ll say it one last time (one last time)
I’ve got to let you know (I’ve got to let you know)
I’ve got to change your mind (I’ve got to change your mind)
    I’ll never let you go

You’ve got to look at life the way it oughta be
Looking at the stars from underneath the tree
There’s a world inside and a world out there
With that on tv you just don’t care

They’ve got violence, wars and killing too
All shrunk down in a two-foot tube
But out there the world is a beautiful place
With mountains, lakes and the human race
And this is where I wanna be
And this is what I wanna do

Just give me one more day (one more day)
Give me another night (just another night)
I need a second chance (second chance)
This time I’ll get it right (This time I’ll get it right)

I’ll say it one last time (one last time)
I’ve got to let you know (I’ve got to let you know)
I’ve got to change your mind (change your mind)
    I’ll never let you go

Just give me one more chance (one more chance)
Give me another night (just another night)
With just one more day (one more day)
Maybe we’ll get it right (You know I’ll get it right)

I’ll say it one last time (one last time)
I’ve got to let you know (I’ve got to let you know)
If I could change your mind (change your mind)
    I’ll never let you go

    The clips are spreading…

I found that my three “RenderFlam3 Step” Script sample vids are spreading around the net. Funny enough.
    Thanks everyone for their support!

They can be found on SUMO.tv too
RenderFlam3 Step test 1, RenderFlam3 Step test 2 and Whirling Test.

Note: they’re not properly credited, this is a quite common behaviour at that site as far as I can read in other videos comments.

    Rotate and Scale Post Transforms

    25th May 2007

I generally not release and expose my own internal bad-coded scripts but it seems there’s nothing similar around the net, and some users was asking themselves, in the Apo list, how to manipulate Post Transforms via Script.

These two small Scripts could be a sort of simple example:

    1. Check Post-XForm
    2. Store the main Transfrom coefs
    3. Copy Post’s coefs to the main one
    4. Rotate or Scale the main one
    5. Copy main coefs back to Post
    6. Reset main one using the stored coefs

Scale PostTransforms (Right click – Save As)

    Render Flam3 Step v.1.2.beta12 update 2

    19th May 2007
    Tags: , , , , ,

A new release is available here: RenderFlam3

Another small but important update today.

The Script now checks if the output directory exists and then it creates the proper one when needed; the suggestion was provided by Tom Hendriks, thanks a lot.
Note: it cannot create nested directories at all, due to Script limitations, but only a directory inside an existing one (sub-directory) or in the disk-root .

Download the new Beta12 and replace the previous one.

Download here: RenderFlam3_Step_1.2.b12 (Right click – Save As)

We could talk about philosohpy, wisdom or faith.
We could talk but it’s completely useless… we’d just silently act in the right way!
