I was pulling my hair out over the Autosave saving after EVERY time you click off the text-edit box! I run post IDs in my site URL and it was such a shame to waste all my low Post IDs on dozens of revisions I'll never need. This does break the Preview button (you have to manually Save Draft or Update beforehand if you want to Preview) but I can live with it. Thank you for writing this.
