Those who travel very slowly may yet make far greater progress, provided they keep always to the straight road, than those who, while they run, forsake it.
Rene Descartes, Discourse on the Method

SOCRATES: Eh! What can be feared when one is doing one’s duty? I know the rage of my enemies. I know all their slanders; but when one only tries to do good to men and when one does not offend heaven, one can fear nothing, neither during life, nor after death.
    Voltaire, Socrates, ACT II

  • The rise and the fall…

    10th September 2009

I’m finally back to the “Chaotic Flow” project.

I know… it’s been a very long time; to say it shortly

    1. A main-job big project with very very limited time schedule.
    2. A Cpu and and HD crash or… the whole system where I store all my personal datas.
    3. Some vacations.

Well, you see. There was a lot to do under the surface!
I’ve finally managed to restore the crashed HD and to keep alive quite all the datas.
    Then I moved to a brand new CPU: Core2 Quad + 4GB Ram + nvidia GTS250 1GB RAM.

    So… here I am! ;)

I’ll start to reply to the old messages and emails as soon as possible (you know who you are)!
My sincere apologies for being so silent.

I'm simply not in the pink! 1

Oh, believe me that even after all that hard work, this is a very happy ending. Would have been extremely worse if after all that work you wouldn’t be able to recover the data. It has happened to me, also after trying to do a forensic recovery, so I’m very happy for you.

I’ve fortunately lost only a limited part of them. Well, I know I was more tha a lucky guy.
I’ve been so busy during the last months; my frequent incremental backup was a bit out of date but the most old part was the whole email archive; I was quite scary about it. A good star have shined at it! :)
